Zoë Shardlow is a fine coach, who I have known since her junior Squash days, when I coached her, and with whom I have greatly enjoyed working during her most successful coaching career to date.  She has excellent technical knowledge, together with a most intelligent understanding of the game as a whole, and above all, an empathy with the pupils under her tutelage, never losing sight of the fact that each is an individual person.  A player of both Junior and Senior International status herself, she has the capacity to nurture talent to these same levels of achievement, I believe, whilst being equally at home with very young complete beginners, and I have greatly enjoyed working alongside her on the many Sussex county assignments we have run together.  Furthermore, I have always had complete faith in Zoë’s ability to successfully manage all ages of Sussex county teams, to ensure that winning or losing is a positive experience from which the players can only benefit.
